Deep Space 2 members attended to the FACTS Convention. Some went on Saterday, some went on Sunday, some went the entire weekend.
F.A.C.T.S. is the biggest science fiction, fantasy, anime & comics convention in the Benelux, since 2016 two times a year.
- a crowd favorite: the cosplay competition
- the game zone with a/o Game Mania, Nintendo, PS4, Ubisoft, Marvel, retro gaming, pinball machines, and much more
- there were large screen screenings, Q&A sessions, chill out zones, grime sessions, and so much more
- artists workshops, cosplay workshops, tech workshops
Q&A
General remark about the Q&A reports: Some actors do not want to be filmed during a Q&A, pictures is OK. Some Actors come on stage. Visitors can take pictures for a few minutes and than have to stop using cameras. Some actors do not allow any filming or pictures of any kind. These rules apply for all conventions and they are respected by the visitors.
At conventions all actors talk about their work in the past, current and future. It is understandable they cannot speak about some future projects.
That is the reason we do not put all questions and answers here in this report. We respect the privacy of the actors/directors/producers who come to talk about their work.
We did not go to all Q&As. These are (very short) the ones we went to.
Q&A Carolina Ravassa
Carolina was very serious about her work. As a voice actrice she makes all the moves the character makes as wel. for example jumping up and down, running...

Q&A Jennifer Morrison
Jennifger talked about her experience in DR.House M.D., and much more about Once Upon A Time. Currently she has three projects she is looking at, but she can only chose one.
Q&A John Barrowman
John had prepared a nice show. He talked about his work, mainly Dr. Who and Torchwood. Whoever had a question he called up on stage to answer it.

Q&A Tom Felton
Tom spoke of course a lot about his work in the Harry Potter movies. But he is also a good musician. He sang (with his guitar) some songs for us.
Q&A David Tennant
David was only at the F.A.C.T.S. on Saterday. He spoke a lot about being Dr. Who, but also about his work in Harry Potter.

Deep Space 2 members attended to the Comiccon Gent 2017 Convention. Some went on Saterday, some went on Sunday, some went the entire weekend.
Comiccon Gent 2018 is a science fiction, fantasy, anime & comics convention in Belgium with the classic convention ingredients.
- around 100 dealers
- a crowd favorite: the cosplay competition
- the game zone with especially retro gaming, but also virtual reality gaming, and much more
- there were large screen screenings, Q&A sessions, chill out zones, grime sessions, and so much more
- artists signing, actors signing, photoshoots, workshops
There were only a few Q&As so we did not go to all Q&As. These are (very short) the ones we went to.
Q&A Carla Perez
Carla talked about her work in the Power Rangers. It was playing like playing on a playground. The costumes and attributes were rather heavy. the role in the power rangers got her more roles as the evil woman/witch/etc.
Carla is looking at some scripts now and she has taken one she prefers, but she cannot tell anything about it.
Next Comiccon is in Antwerp (Waagnatie, Rijnkaai 150, 2000 Antwerpen) September 15-16, 2018.

Emilie talked about "Lost", "The Hills Have Eyes" but mostly about "Once Upon a time". She just finished the season final.
Q&A Gillian Anderson
Gillian was funny and had a few excellent jokes especially the answer on the question "How would you let "Hannibal" end: a different ending...
Gillian talked about the "The X-Files", Hannibal", "The Fall" and her other work.
And last but not least...
The next F.A.C.T.S. (2018) will be the fall edition 29-30 September 2018, same place...

Deep Space 2 members attended to the Comiccon Brussel Convention February 2018. Some went on Saterday, most went on Sunday, some went the entire weekend.
Comiccon Brussel, Belgium, is with about 120 dealers not as big as the big brother in Gent (F.A.C.T.S.), but it was a nice science fiction, fantasy, anime & comics convention with lots of interesting guests.

- there were large screen screenings, Q&A sessions, chill out zones, grime sessions, laser shooting fights and so much more
We did not go to all Q&As. These are (very short) the ones we went to.
Q&A John Rhys-Davies
John pointed out that all humans have the same forefathers.
This convention was also one of the rare oportunities for Belgian Star Trek fans to meet Nichelle Nichols. Nichelle was funy, making jokes and took her time for a chat during her signing session. It was fabulous, fantastic, amazing to meet her.
Next convention in Belgium is the F.A.C.T.S. April 7-8, 2018.
